It’s trendy to live in Brooklyn, but a good kind of trendy. From his Facebook account I gather that he likes animals and Manchester United. So do I. He looks like he could be the next generation James Bond. He likes dressing up for Halloween. He may or may not like the French. The commonalities are endless. I get his vibe.
His chapbook, I Went to the Desert, is pretty dope. I say that in the best of the 90s kind of way. It’s kind of a trip. You can place yourself out in the desert with the narrator and you can feel the extreme heat. You can sense the mirage-effect. The images are surreal. From the poem, “wash”, Moorad writes: when my head touches other peoples’ heads/ i can feel our brains braid like wet deli slices/ and shrink a little.
Woah. It doesn’t get much better then that. So buy Adam’s chapbook today. It’s $8.00 worth of blow-your-mind poetry.
